Job Description

Hays Recruiting is hiring an HR & People Operations Manager to support a fully remote European tech company. You’ll manage the employee lifecycle, from onboarding and compliance to culture and performance.

This role suits someone with strong operational skills and a passion for creating a seamless employee experience in distributed environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead onboarding, off boarding, and HRIS updates
  • Develop policies across payroll, time-off, and benefits
  • Implement performance review and feedback cycles
  • Foster internal communications and DEI initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with employment regulations in Portugal and beyond

Your Profile:

  • 3–5 years of experience in HR or People Ops roles
  • Knowledge of EU labor laws, payroll, and benefits systems
  • Hands-on experience with HRIS tools (e.g., BambooHR)
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Fluent in English; Portuguese is a plus
