Job Description
Hays Recruiting is recruiting a Payroll Specialist to manage cross-border payroll for a distributed European team.
You’ll ensure timely and compliant salary processing and be the go-to contact for employees regarding pay-related matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process monthly payroll for employees in Portugal and other EU countries
- Liaise with local providers and tax authorities
- Maintain payroll records and audit trails
- Resolve payroll and benefits queries
- Support HR with compensation data and reports
Your Profile:
- 2–3 years of payroll experience in an international context
- Fluent in Portuguese and English
- Familiarity with Portuguese tax and labor legislation
- Proficiency in Excel and HR/payroll platforms (e.g., Deel, Remote, ADP)
